Washington Theater Open to Artists

Washington Theater, in downtown Quincy, IL,  is inviting artists to a private viewing and dedicated time on Saturday, October 6, 2018, 9am – Noon, in the theatre to create artwork. Enjoy the old architecture and let it inspire you to create original works. Bring your art supplies and enjoy the company of other like minded artists in a historic atmosphere. You can spend the entire time sketching from different viewpoints or work on one main piece, the choice and time is yours. We will begin the morning with a private tour, hospitality and snacks. Washington Theater asks that you, in turn, donate one completed artwork inspired by the Washington Theater to be used in future fundraising efforts to help restore this historical gem. This artwork can be dropped off to the Quincy Art Center by November 1, 2018 and does not need to be matted or framed. Please RSVP by calling the Art Center at 217-223-5900.
